Itinerary
Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri
Begin your journey with a scenic 220 km drive (approx. 10 hours) to Sankri, located at an altitude of 1,950 meters (6,400 ft).
Day 2: Sankri to Sikolta
Trek 7 km over 5–6 hours along a moderately challenging uphill trail to Sikolta (2,850 m / 9,400 ft). A water source is available halfway near a broken bridge. Overnight stay in twin-sharing tents.
Day 3: Sikolta to Bhoj Gadi
Continue trekking 4–5 km (4–5 hours) on a gentle ascent to Bhoj Gadi (3,385 m / 11,100 ft). A water source is found an hour into the trail. Enjoy views of peaks like Kedarkantha, Dhunda Top, and Swargarohini. Stay in twin-sharing tents.
Day 4: Bhoj Gadi to Pushtara via Phulara Ridge
Ascend to the stunning Phulara Ridge (3,700 m / 12,150 ft) and then descend to the Pushtara meadows (2,895 m / 9,500 ft). The 8.4 km trek takes 6–7 hours and offers breathtaking views of Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, and more. No water sources en route—carry at least 2 liters. Overnight in tents.
Day 5: Pushtara to Taluka, Drive to Sankri
Descend 8 km (5–6 hrs) to Taluka (2,100 m / 6,900 ft) through a forest trail with water available after 1.5 hours. From Taluka, drive 12 km (approx. 1 hour) back to Sankri. Stay in a hotel with hot water and attached washroom.
Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun
Drive 220 km back to Dehradun (approx. 10 hours). Drop-off at Prince Chowk/Railway Station between 6:30–7:30 pm. Note: Transportation cost is not included and timings may vary depending on weather and road conditions.
